A Few More Cakes

Easter Basket Cake - My first time trying basket weaving. My hand seriously hurt afterwards! It was worth it though. The end result was super cute and tasted fantastic!

For a sweet little boy's 5th Birthday. Gavin loves him some Transformers!

The cupcakes that went with Gavin's cake. Uber delicious!

Cute baby shower cupcakes adorned with cookie buttons. Those were the biggest pain in the butt cookies to make by the way. Thankfully they tasted spectacular and the mommies they were made for loved them! Made all the hard work worth it!

Women's Conference - Tutu's Galore!!!

Ended up doing a Women's Conference at a local church and it was truly a blessing. The women that I talked to and fellow "crafties" were wonderful!

More Leg Warmers!

I think it's so cute when little girls wear leg warmers! I can't get enough of them!

Crocheted Leg Warmers

Made these using Simply Soft by Caron. They have a little stretch to them but not much. Going to order some Fixation yarns from my mom's store (Ewe-Nique Knits, Goshen, IN) so that they have more given to them.

My little ladybug loves her new leg warmers and decided to sport them with her new Twinkle Toes shoes. I love how she's girly and wants to dress up but in the next breath wants to wrestle. Hehe

Nothing like a good Irish/German meal!

The hubby is German and I'm Irish. So quite often I make dishes that consist of both backgrounds. It may not look like much but it is super filling and oh soooo yummy!

Grilled Brats and Potato Polpetti. Topped with scallions and monterey. Polpetti is a fancy word for a potato pancake. Like I said before....YUMMY!

Arrrrr.....Jolly Roger Cake

This was a cake that was created for a little boy named Rayden. His mommy wanted him to have a pirate cake and that's exactly what he got. What's a pirate party without some pirate treasure?

Cake was an 11x14 sheet cake. Covered with homemade buttercream and fondant accents.

My New Logo!!

I am so blessed to be surrounded by people who love me and whom I love!

My wonderful Aunt Jennifer created my new event planning logo. I LOVE IT!!!

Monogram for my October Bride

Hand drew the letters and then hot glued pink silk flowers to it.

I love hot glue guns!!

Then added a touch of greenery.

Can't wait to see it hanging from the arch. So excited!

Shrimp and Grits (a Southern favorite)

I heard about this shrimp and grits and how every southerner has either made it or tried it. I thought to myself "I was born and raised in the south, why have I never even heard of this concoction?"

So, while watching Food Network one day "Throwdown with Bobby Flay" was on and what did he have on his show that day..... SHRIMP AND GRITS! It looked pretty good so I was bound and determined to make it.

I LOVE TO COOK! When it comes to cooking I have a "I can cook anything" attitude. So, I went and bought some shrimp, bacon and cheese. I got home and started making this yummy dish. Not following a recipe I was a little concerned about how the end result would be. My husband is my food critic so I knew that in about 20 minutes I was going to find out how good I really did.

He "devoured" it and was so stuffed but was still wanting more. Home Run, Knocked It Out Of The Park, Touch down, Goal!!! Needless to say, he is already asking for it to be made again. So....if you want the recipe, let me know! Email me at: PerfectPairEvents@yahoo.com.

My Little Model

This is Miss Kaelyn being her typical girly/tom boy self. She loves her dresses and hats. This time I caught her with her brother's hat on. Scary how much she looks like him when he was her age.
